T his session will explore court preparation in civi l and criminal cases.

The criminal asp ect of the training will be delivered by H is Hon Judge Enright who has identified a number of recurrent problems faced by junior barr isters relating to handling of:

  1. Applications for Cloud Video Platform (CVP)

\n \n

The eve nt will deal with preparing jury bundles in jury t rials\, giving examples and identifying common err ors which impede the effective disposal of crimina l cases. \;The event will also deal with how t o make proper CVP applications in criminal cases.& nbsp\; This session will identify the statute law\ , guidance and provide examples of common errors a nd best practice\, preparing attendees to make eff ective applications. \;

The civil aspect of the training will be delivered by Aislinn Kelly-Lyth\, a junior barrister with a broad practice. It will cover:

  • Where to find practice directions and gu ides for different fora in civil litigation\;
    • \n
  • Other useful sources of procedural knowled ge
    • \n
  • Best practices for putting together bundles.
    • \n \n \n

    The session will be useful for those commencing practice in both the civil courts and the tribunals and navigating the various procedural approaches.
