\n \nKeir Monteith KC
\n \nKeir Monteith KC \;is a leading criminal silk at Garden Court Chambers. He is recognised as one of the country's foremost advocates in serious and complex crimina l litigation\, regularly appearing in cases involv ing homicide\, major drug conspiracies\, serious f raud\, confiscation proceedings and appeals agains t conviction and sentence. He acted for Ade Adedej i in the landmark Manchester 10 appeal\, which res ulted in the quashing of a wrongful conviction\, a nd drafted the successful Criminal Cases Review Co mmission application in the Moss Side miscarriage of justice case\, leading to the referral of three murder convictions to the Court of Appeal. \; A longstanding advocate for fairness and equality within the justice system\, Keir is a founding mem ber of the Art Not Evidence campaign\, which chall enges the wrongful use of creative expression as e vidence in criminal trials. Together with Professo r Eithne Quinn\, Keir co-authored \;Racial Bia s and the Bench\, a widely cited report examining racial inequality within the justice system.
\n \nMaster Leona Harrison
\ n \nMaster Leona Harrison is the resident circ uit judge at Leyland Family Hearing Centre on the Northern Circuit. Appointed in September 2022\, sh e previously sat as a recorder principally in Shef field from 2009. \;For many years Leona was a trustee of ChAPS\, a charity providing adult and c hildren’s services to people on the autistic spect rum in Cheshire. She was also a long term treasure r for regional FLBA and medico-legal associations. As a Regional Lead DCRJ and Focal Point DCRJ\, Ma ster Harrison enjoys mentoring aspiring lawyers an d promoting diverse access to the legal profession s and judiciary. \;
