 th and 20th centuries\, events which occurred in E
 ast London gave rise to jurisprudence which was bo
 th ground-breaking and innovative – and which crea
 ted case law precedent of significance all over th
 e common law world. This lecture is a celebration 
 of the UK judges whose intellect and pragmatism in
 fluenced the development of Tort Law on a global s
 cale.</p>\n \n <p><strong>About the speaker:</stro
 ng></p>\n \n <p>Rachael Mulheron KC (Hon) FBA is P
 rofessor of Tort Law and Civil Justice at Queen Ma
 ry University of London. Since 2023\, Rachael has 
 served as a member of the Competition Appeal Tribu
 nal. She specialises in Torts\, Medical Negligence
 \, Collective (Class) Actions\, and Civil Justice 
 more generally.&nbsp\; Prior to her academic caree
 r\, Rachael practised as a solicitor in Constructi
 on Law in Brisbane\, Australia. In 2021\, Rachael 
 was appointed as Honorary Queen’s Counsel for serv
 ices to law reform\, and in 2024\, was elected as
