 r Rachael Mulheron KC.</p>\n \n <p>Over the course
  of the 19th and 20th centuries\, events which occ
 urred in East London gave rise to jurisprudence wh
 ich was both ground-breaking and innovative – and 
 which created case law precedent of significance a
 ll over the common law world. This lecture is a ce
 lebration of the UK judges whose intellect and pra
 gmatism influenced the development of Tort Law on 
 a global scale.</p>\n \n <p><strong>About the spea
 ker:</strong></p>\n \n <p>Rachael Mulheron KC (Hon
 ) FBA is Professor of Tort Law and Civil Justice a
 t Queen Mary University of London. Since 2023\, Ra
 chael has served as a member of the Competition Ap
 peal Tribunal. She specialises in Torts\, Medical 
 Negligence\, Collective (Class) Actions\, and Civi
 l Justice more generally.&nbsp\; Prior to her acad
 emic career\, Rachael practised as a solicitor in 
 Construction Law in Brisbane\, Australia. In 2021\
 , Rachael was appointed as Honorary Queen’s Counse
 l for services to law reform\, and in 2024\, was e
 lected as a Fellow of the British Academy.</p>\n \
 n <hr />\n <p style="color: rgb(170\, 170\, 170)\;
  font-style: italic\;">Student members (including
