Masters of the Bench

Master Helen Mahy CBE is chair of The Renewables Infrastructure Group, a FTSE 250 company. She is also a non executive director of SSE plc and an Equality and Human Rights Commissioner. Helen was for over 10 years Group Company Secretary and General Counsel of National Grid plc and prior to that was General Counsel and Company Secretary of Babcock International PLC.

Helen has been a director of various listed companies: MedicX Fund Ltd (where she was chair), Primary Health Properties Plc, Bonheur ASA, SVG Capital plc, Stagecoach Group Plc and Aga Rangemaster Group plc.

Helen was also chair of the General Counsel 100 Group. She is passionate about inclusion and diversity and also social mobility.

She has been an elected member of the Bar Council (2005-7)and served on its General Management Committee.
