Bio:

Clive Anderson was educated at Harrow County School for Boys and read law at Selwyn College, Cambridge where he was also President of the Footlights revue group. In 1976 he was called to the Bar by Middle Temple and practised as a barrister in London from chambers in King’s Bench Walk  for the best part of 15 years. Meantime he wrote  scripts for radio and television shows and performed as a stand-up comedian.

In the  1980s he began a career on radio and TV, making mainly comedy and chat shows, but also some more serious programmes and documentaries covering current affairs, politics, books, music, sport and foreign travel.

He has hosted many live events and award ceremonies, and has contributed to a wide range of newspapers and magazines. His programmes include Whose Line Is it Anyway? (BBC Radio 4 and Channel 4 TV and recent stage shows) Clive Anderson Talk Back  (Channel 4), Clive Anderson All Talk (BBC1). He currently presents Loose Ends and Unreliable Evidence (both BBC Radio 4).
