After an education at Magdalen College School, Oxford, Stowe School, Corpus Christi College, Cambridge (MA (Hons) in Law) and the Council of Legal Education in London; Andrew was admitted to Middle Temple in 1981 and Called to the Bench in 2009. After completing pupillage Andrew became an employed barrister notably with Mobil (now ExxonMobil) from 1987 to today. His 31 years with the company include 16 years of overseas assignments in Indonesia, Turkey, America, Singapore and Qatar; he is currently General Counsel of ExxonMobil International Limited in the UK.
Current appointments: Governing Board of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration; Advisory Council to the Centre of Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary University of London and Chair of the Steering Committee for the Energy Law Institute; Past Chair of the Corporate Counsels' International Arbitration Group (CCIAG); Member of the London Court of International Arbitration; Advisory Board of the Turkish Commercial Law Review. Clubs: The International Arbitration Club, The Honourable Society of Knights of the Round Table, Beaverbrook Golf Club. Languages: Turkish, French and Indonesian.
