I
am delighted to have been elected Mooting Officer for the MTSA for
2008-09. My background is in Veterinary Medicine and last year I
completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of
Hertfordshire. I was involved in the mooting there and found it
developed very useful skills, like legal research, developing
arguments, dealing with the interventions and questions of judges and
speaking in public. I would hope to make mooting opportunities
available to as many students as possible, because this will help you
to develop as advocates (to say nothing of looking good on your CV!) |
