Practicing Barristers have an annual requirement to undergo 12 hours of Continuing Professional Development. Every year, the Middle Temple schedules an event to enable it's members to undergo up to 6 hours of CPD in one day.

The day has a number of lecturers (typiclly six), delivered by guest speakers. The 2008 CPD course lecture topics were;

The Law of Restitution
Family Advocacy
Money Laundering
Current Issues in DNA, and
Complex Criminal Trials
