Mindfulness for Wellbeing
"If you knew of a technique which could increase your clarity of thinking, improve decision making, reduce your levels of stress and support your personal wellbeing would you want to try it for yourself? Seeing is believing. Come along to our Middle Temple Mindfulness practice sessions to learn more about this simple secular form of meditation. Learn valuable brain basics and tools to help you harness your natural capability to find peace in this frantic world"
"Mindfulness is simply being aware of what is happening right now without wishing it were different; enjoying the pleasant without holding on when it changes (which it will); being with the unpleasant without fearing it will always be this way (which it won't)" - James Baraz
Would you like to make better quality decisions, be more focused, reduce feelings of 'frazzle' stress and anxiety and boost your experience of positive emotions?
Mindfulness involves a deliberate focus on your present moment experience. It is science based and secular. Through regular repeated practice, you will become less enmeshed in thoughts and emotions about the past or future, and more able to fully connect and immerse yourself in the here and now.
In these sessions we will explore how our brains and bodies are connected and how we function under stress and anxiety. We will explore simple, practical changes that will help us achieve more balanced emotional, mental and physical wellbeing.
These Mindfulness for wellbeing sessions are based on classic the 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy programmes. Please feel free to attend any or all of these sessions.
£5 in advance or £10 on the door, per session.
