Clerks' Dinner

Date: Thursday 19th March 2009

Master Treasurer, Sir George Newman, and the Masters of the Bench of the Middle Temple offer all Barrister and Judicial Members of the Inn the opportunity to entertain their Clerks in the Middle Temple Hall on Thursday 19th March 2009.

If you would like to attend this Dinner, please complete and return the Booking form with payment by cheque to Kristine McGlothlin, Executive Assistant to the Treasurer, at the Middle Temple Treasury.

It is requested that members within a set of chambers co-ordinate their returns.

Hosts Any Member of the Middle Temple (if there are several Middle Templars in a set of chambers, they may well wish to combine to entertain thir Clerks; please avoid duplication in the application)

Guests Senior Clerks, retired Senior Clerks, Practice Managers, Assistant Senior Clerks, Clerks to Judges in High Judicial Office and Chief Clerks of Courts may be included. There is a maximum of one Clerk per Member.

Dress Black Tie/no gowns

Programme Usual toasts but no speeches, in accordance with tradition, other than a few words in reply to the Treasurer's toast to the Barristers' Clerks' Association by the Chairman of that Association.

Time Reception at 7 pm to dine at 7.30 pm.

Cost The price per person is £65 including reception wine, three-course dinner, wine and port. Payment should be made by cheque payable to "The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple" (NB: pupil students may attend if invited by Chambers but there will not be a reduced/subsidised price.)

Bookings Bookings for this popular event will be accepted from 15 th January 2009. Applications will be dealt with on a first come first served basis. Refunds will be given upon written notification up to 5 pm on Friday, 6th March 2009.
