Robert was educated at Trinity College, Oxford and Harvard Law School.  He became Queen’s Counsel in 1986.  Practises at Blackstone Chambers specialising in regulatory, commercial and media and entertainment law.  Deputy High Court Judge and arbitrator (ICC, LCIA, WIPO and others).  Member of National Anti-Doping Panel.  Former member of Scholarships and Prizes Committee, Bench Selection Advisory Committee and Committee for the Nomination of Master Treasurer.
