Chairman of COMBAR since June 2009 and a member of 20 Essex Street since 1985, Christopher took Silk in 2000.  He specialises in insurance and carriage of goods.  As well as devoting an enormous amount of time to activities on behalf of the Bar (COMBAR, the Bar Council General Management Committee, the response to the Green Papers on reform of legal aid and civil legal justice funding, barristers in international arbitration, the Speakers for Schools project, university visits, various British Maritime Law Association committees, etc), he is a cub scout leader and qualified football referee, taking school and youth matches.
