Ian Mayes KC read Modern and Medieval Languages at Trinity College, Cambridge. A Harmsworth Scholar, he was called to the Bar in 1974, took Silk in 1993 and was elected a Bencher in 2001. He has been Chairman of the Hall Committee and of the Church Committee and, for seven years, served as Master of the House. He was Autumn Reader for 2021.
